The harbour side buildings are bathed in bright sunlight and are depicted with the accurate perspective we have come to expect from Knighton-Hammond. The trees bring a splash of rich green to the predominately pastel colours. The boats and barrels are out of the water on a sloping stepped ramp way docking area between the harbour wall and the water line. The use of watercolour allows Knighton-Hammond to exploit its special ability of conveying light and space. The boats and barrels show skilful perspective and foreshortening.
