The Morning of the Derby is a rare example of a print taken from an original watercolour by Arthur Hammond. Pictures of race meetings were popular subjects in the early 1900s. This work was reproduced and sold through C E Clifford & Co of Haymarket. A busy morning at Epsom with crowds dressed up for the occasion. There is a lively atmosphere as the horse drawn coach makes it way through the onlookers.
